Change a Flight Booked With Us
Travel plans change — and First Bell Holiday is here to help when they do. If you need to change a flight that we ticketed for you, our consultants will review the airline's fare rules, present your options, and process the change once you've approved any associated fees.
Types of Changes We Process
- Date changes — Move an outbound or return flight to a new date
- Route changes — Switch the origin, destination or connecting city
- Time changes — Choose an earlier or later departure on the same day
- Passenger name corrections — Fix small spelling errors within airline-permitted limits
- Cabin upgrades — See our Seat Upgrade page
How a Change Request Works
- Call (888) 412-2404 with your booking reference and the change you'd like.
- Our consultant pulls up the airline's published fare rules for your ticket.
- We present a written estimate of any airline change fee, fare difference and agency service fee.
- Once you approve, we re-issue the ticket and send a fresh confirmation email.
What Determines Whether a Change Is Allowed
Whether a change can be processed — and at what cost — depends entirely on the operating airline's fare rules, not on us. Generally:
- Refundable / flexible fares typically allow changes at little or no cost, subject to fare difference.
- Standard Economy fares often allow changes with a published change fee plus fare difference.
- Basic Economy / restricted fares usually do not permit changes.
- Award tickets follow the loyalty program's own re-deposit rules.
Time Limits
Most airlines require changes to be requested before scheduled departure. Some carriers allow changes up to a few hours before departure; others close their change window earlier. Calling us as soon as you know you need a change gives us the best chance of finding affordable alternatives.
Fees You May See
- Airline change fee — Imposed by the carrier; varies by fare class and route
- Fare difference — If the new flight costs more than your original, the difference must be collected
- Agency service fee — A modest fee for the time spent re-ticketing your booking; disclosed in advance

Voluntary vs Involuntary Changes
If the airline cancels or significantly reschedules your flight, you may qualify for a free re-route or refund under that airline's policy. We help you exercise these rights at no additional agency charge. This is different from a voluntary change requested by you, which is subject to the standard fare rules above.
