Upgrade Your Cabin Experience
Stretch out, sleep flat, and arrive refreshed. First Bell Holiday helps travelers explore upgrade options on flights we have booked. Whether you want a little more legroom in Premium Economy or a fully reclining suite in Business Class, our agents can check the operating airline's upgrade availability and pricing for you.
Cabin Options We Help You Upgrade To
- Premium Economy — Wider seats, extra recline, dedicated cabin and enhanced meal service.
- Business Class — Lie-flat seats on most long-haul routes, lounge access and priority services.
- First Class — Private suites on select international flights with elevated dining and amenities.
How to Request an Upgrade
- Call us at (888) 412-2404 with your booking reference.
- Our agent checks the operating airline's upgrade inventory in real time.
- We present available options — paid upgrade, miles + cash combinations (if eligible), or upsell offers from the airline.
- If you'd like to proceed, we confirm the upgrade with the airline and issue a revised ticket.
Eligibility Factors
Whether an upgrade is permitted, and at what cost, depends on the operating airline. Common factors include:
- Availability of premium cabin seats on the specific flight
- Fare class of your original ticket (some discounted fares are not upgradeable)
- Whether the airline accepts paid upgrade requests through travel agencies
- Your frequent flyer status with the operating airline
- Route and equipment type (premium cabins are not offered on every flight)
Pricing and Fees
An upgrade typically involves:
- Fare difference — The difference between your current cabin and the premium cabin you wish to move to
- Airline upgrade fee — Some carriers charge a separate processing fee in addition to the fare difference
- Agency service fee — A modest fee for coordinating the upgrade on your behalf; disclosed upfront
Tip: Upgrade availability changes constantly. The earlier you ask, the more options we can usually find. Last-minute upgrades at the airport are also possible — but pricing through the airline check-in counter is set entirely by the airline.
Miles + Cash and Loyalty Program Upgrades
If you have airline miles, we can often help you redeem them for an upgrade — but the redemption itself is processed by the loyalty program. Frequent flyer accounts remain in your name and under your control; we will never ask for your account password.
What an Upgrade Doesn't Guarantee
Booking an upgrade through us reserves the premium cabin seat, but on-board amenities, meal selections and lounge access are entirely controlled by the operating airline. We are happy to share what is typically offered, but the airline may change service levels at its discretion.
